Conflict management comprises systematic strategies for identifying, analysing, and addressing conflicts within organisations. The goal is to address tensions at an early stage before they become entrenched. To this end, procedures are established that enable objective and transparent conflict resolution.

Conflict Management
An effective Conflict Management or Dispute Management System creates structures for preventing, moderating, and sustainably resolving conflicts. It supports managers and employees in recognizing conflicts early, selecting appropriate procedures, and documenting outcomes. It is based on the promotion of amicable settlements enshrined in section 278 of the German Code of Civil Procedure (ZPO) and on the principles of the German Mediation Act, which governs out-of-court dispute resolution.
Conflict management is equally relevant for companies, public authorities, and associations. It helps secure stable working relationships, minimize risks, and make processes more efficient. Well-implemented systems reduce the risk of escalation, strengthen organizational culture, and foster responsible cooperation between all parties involved.
Benefits of the Procedure

- Aligned with section 278 ZPO and the German Mediation Act
- Binding processes for prevention, moderation, and closure
